Compact Drill Driver
By design, an impact driver is smaller and lighter. It has more torque than a power drill as well. These tools come in cordless models with voltages ranging from 12 to 20 volts. The impact driver's power and speed increase as the voltage rises.
Impact drivers, unlike drills, do not have a chuck. Instead, they have a quick-change clamp that holds hexagonal-shanked drill bits and driver bits. To meet the power output of impact drivers, this hex-bit architecture is required. Impact drivers have a better ability to direct energy downward, making them more comfortable to use over time.
