Tap Set UNS Thread High Speed Steel
A tap and die set is a two-in-one instrument for cutting threads around holes and into threads. The tap is used to cut threads in holes where thread fasteners are positioned, while the die is used to cut threads on steel rods.
Standard for Unified Threading:
A 0.619 in (15.7 mm) major diameter with 20 threads per inch is an example of a "unique" diameter and pitch combination (UNS).
UNS threads are more commonly seen on nuts, tapped holes, and threaded ODs than on bolts.
