- Impellers & Diffusers: Each "stage" consists of one impeller and one diffuser. The impeller adds kinetic energy to the fluid, and the diffuser converts that energy into static pressure
- Vertical Shaft: A single long shaft connects all impellers to the motor, which is usually mounted at the top to protect it from leaks or flooding
- Mechanical Seal: High-quality seals are used to prevent leakage, often designed for easy maintenance without removing the motor
